EVIDENCE Naitabale - Bourewa obsidean | Evidence from obsidian found at Bourewa traced using density analysis to the Kutau-Bao obsidian soucrce on the Talasea Peninsula of New Britian Island, Bismark Archipelago, Papua New Guinea. This rock was carried at least 3300 km by some of Fiji's earliest settlers (and their ancestors), arriving here abut 900 BC.
